Our Youth Programme (13 - 17 Years Old)
The theatre arts side of the programme is very comprehensive, covering the following spontaneous activities:
In the final term of each year, our students begin work on a scripted production which is performed for a public audience. This is always a highlight of the year and reflects the talents and skills of our students and their teachers.
Many lasting friendships are made through attending the Youth Theatre Programme.
- Introductory Activities – ad-lib, thinking on your feet
- Speech – voice projection, articulation, focus on consonants, tone & pitch
- Small Group Improvisations – group-work, scenario development & planning
- Radio Plays – radio commercials, radio programmes
- Career and Theatre Games – thinking on your feet, response, actions
- Mini-Scripts – scripted dialogues, scene planning
- Open-ended Dialogues – development of dialogues leaving audience in suspense
- Vox Pops – Media Interviews
